This photoshoot location is a modern, minimalist new-build situated in rural Cornwall, just outside St Ives and Penzance. Found in a lush, riverside spot, the pitched cedar-clad property is positioned on the edge of the existing stream and nestles gently into the bamboo that grows on its banks. Large windows flood the house with light and ensure a connection to the green surroundings in every room. The Japandi interiors are soft and paired back with natural materials taking centre stage throughout to create serene, inviting and peaceful spaces. All interior walls have a textural lime finish, alongside the rammed earth style clay exterior wall, concrete floor, micro-cement bathrooms, linen curtains and light timbers (mostly Ash and Oak) used throughout, giving lots of opportunity to shoot on different textural backdrops. There is a wood burning stove on the concrete plinth in the lounge area and bespoke joinery features in every room. Connection to nature was at the heart of the design of our home. The light-filled, open plan living space is the main event, with the mezzanine above also providing great angles for shoots. Situated within our three acres of land we also have two large greenhouses, a cabin, a shepherds hut and a large working veg and flower patch which enhances the creative potential for clients. The house was completed at the end of 2022 and the landscaping has been well thought out, with dense and interesting planting surrounding the property, namely grasses and ferns giving an Australian/New Zealand beach house vibe.
